The BRICS Innovation Base adheres to the BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation, adopts a three-level structure and operation mechanism of the Council, Strategic Advisory Committee, and physical institutions, with promoting the implementation of the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership as the main line, focusing on innovation cooperation in the industrial field, comprehensively considering trade, investment, cultural exchanges, and other fields, enhancing the driving force of BRICS cooperation, and enhancing the ability to jointly respond to the challenges of the New Industrial Revolution, Promote the common realization of technological progress, economic prosperity, and social development.

Since the start of construction in Xiamen on December 8, 2020, the BRICS Innovation Base has accelerated the establishment of working mechanisms, focusing on three key areas: policy coordination, talent cultivation, and project development. A total of 154 key tasks for Xiamen to promote the construction of the BRICS Innovation Base have been released, a think tank and training base alliance has been formed, and more than 50 BRICS online and offline talent training activities have been carried out, covering over 2 million people in over 80 countries, We have built a batch of new infrastructure and 8 new industrial revolution empowerment platforms, launched 104 BRICS demonstration projects, signed 77 BRICS cooperation projects, and invested 38.5 billion yuan. We have successfully held a series of BRICS exchange activities, and achieved phased results in the construction of the base.
